Training Classes
Is your best friend up to his old tricks? Do Mom & Dad need a refresher course as well? Then enroll your pet in Doggy Day School ™. Two training sessions (morning & afternoon) while your dog attends daycare plus a 30 minute follow-up lesson with Mom & Dad! Doggy Day Out's training classes are held in a large, fenced yard in a relaxing country atmosphere. We have experienced trainers who use proven techniques to give your dog the finest obedience and physical training. Class size is limited to ensure personal attention. Puppy Headstart (6 months and younger) 4 weeks
It is never too early to start good habits. This class is a fun way to get started on obedience and building your relationship and leadership with your puppy. Topics covered: housebreaking, mouthing, jumping, chewing, sit, down, attention, come, and leash walking.
Basic Obedience and Manners (6 months and older) 7 weeks
This class starts with a lecture on how dogs learn, the remaining six weeks we will focus on practical obedience commands that will benefit your dog in everyday life. Topics covered: heeling, sit, down, stay, leave it, come, loose leash walking, and sit at doors.
Canine Good Citizen Class - 4 weeks
Learn what is needed to obtain certification for your dog through the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen Test. The test ensures that your dog can be a respected member of the community and is a good launching pad into dog therapy programs. We will administer the test at the final class.
Rally Obedience Class - 6 weeks
Obedience with obstacles is a great way to further your obedience training and have fun with your dog. Basic Obedience is required to join this class.
