Group Classes

All classes are held indoors at the Wilke Ridge Lane location.

S.T.A.R. PUPPY CLASSES (6 Months and Younger) 6 Weeks - Instructor Danielle Prince

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start..

Topics covered: Training classes teach you how to best communicate with your puppy. Organized training classes also provide an opportunity for your dog to socialize with other dogs. In classes aimed at earning the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy distinction, you’ll be able to get information on all of your puppy-raising questions including house-training, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called. AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy training is a natural lead in to the AKC® Canine Good Citizen® Program.

BASIC OBEDIENCE AND MANNERS 6 Weeks - Instructor Danielle Prince

This class will focus on practical obedience commands and household manners that will benefit your dog in everyday life.

Topics covered: Sit, Down, Stay, Leave it, Come, Loose leash walking, and Sit at doors. 

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC) PREP 6 Weeks - Instructor Danielle Prince

  • Prerequisites include S.T.A.R. Puppy Class, Basic Obedience & Manners or equivalent.

  • Why CGC? The Canine Good Citizen™ (CGC) program is a two-part course designed to help you and your dog be the best you can be–together. Since 1989, over 1 million dogs and their owners have participated in CGC, mastering ten basic skills that instill confidence and good manners in and out of your home.

  • This class is NOT intended for reactive dogs.

BEGINNING NOSEWORK 6 Weeks

Our main goals in the class are:

• Learning the history of nosework and basic scent theory.
• Building a working relationship with your dog.
• Building drive to odor and value for odor.
• Good searching behavior.
• Developing a clear, consistent indication.
• Having fun with your dog!

ADVANCED NOSEWORK 6 Weeks

• Pre-requisite for this class is successful completion of Beginning Nosework or instructor approval.

INTRO TO FLYBALL 6 Weeks - Instructor Danielle Prince

This class will introduce you to the fast paced dog sport of flyball. Often referred to as “drag racing for dogs” flyball is appropriate for all levels of experience.

  • Dogs must be 6 (six) months of age or older.

  • Some basic obedience along with a reliable recall is highly encouraged.

  • Can be handled by others and not overly dog aggressive.

PRIVATE TRAINING OPTIONS

  • Private Lesson (1 hour)

  • Block of 3 Private Lessons (pre-pay)

  • 2 Week Board & Train

  • 4 Week Board & Train
